Sustainability

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at The Bottle Bin.  From upcycling bottles, re-using  materials, careful selection of packaging materials, researching production partners and suppliers and by choosing to not use any single use plastics.

We use bottles given to us from bars, pubs and clubs, as well as donations from family, neighbours and the public.  We have even been gifted bottles to use by drinks manufacturers.  Those that don't meet our quality requirements or break in the creation process are sent for glass recycling. 

The lights that are used in The Bottle Bin products are chosen for their recyclability.  At the end of their life, they can be returned to us and replaced, or recycled at your local recycling centre as small electricals.  The cable of the lights can even be used around the garden to tie or support plants.   If you have chosen a battery operated product, the batteries are recycled widely around the UK. 

Our sustainability drive does not stop there.  The future holds more ways to re-use packaging, minimise reliance on electricity and carbon production.  We are also exploring powering our bottle lights with solar power.

Even our packaging is completely sustainable.  The cardboard boxes are often reused from other sources, and are themselves recyclable.

No bubble wrap here!  We use a thick paper protection wrap to pad out the boxes and support your products.

Even the packaging tape is made from recyclable products that do not use plastics.
